Doom3 replacement sounds?

Hey am I totally crazy or were there articles about a replacement pack for sounds in Doom3 released by Trent Reznor? I coulda swore I saw the article at either R3d or here and now I cannot find it anywhere. I search on google shows it cached,as of 081304 9:30 PM EST, but when you go to the link there's no info. Is this a hoax or something?

I can strongly recommend this soundpack, much better sounds, much more "violent" sounds

and i believe Trent Reznor was the man behind the sounds in quake3??

COOL! I thought the sound kinda sucked.

especially for the machine guns...*yawn* I didnt feel manly holding the marines gun. it felt like a wimpy gun.

i thought the sounds were great in that game....though i doubt that this soundpack was released by trent reznor, as the reason they didnt use his in the first place was because of funding issues...

im trying to download them from that site, but the download system keeps fudging out on me...

since it's only 8mB, could somebody host it for me just long enough for me to grab it?

I have tested the file before uploading it offcourse.

Tried repacking it as an sfx 7z file, but it's not able to compress i further.

ok, well i just installed it, and like it...

i figured out what they did though...this is not the soundpack that trent reznor made for the game...it's simply the sound effects that were in the game at the time of the alpha leak (in the NIN folder on the alpha). that's why it doesnt replace everything...just the stuff that was in the alpha.

These sounds are awesome... They sound so much more realistic and just better all around.

They should have sound packs that make the monsters scream like little girls or shout phrases like "I broke a nail!....you bastard!". It would just be a kick. For about 5 min but hey it would be good stuff.

i like the original imp sound alittle bit better...this one sounds repetitive...the shrieks of the original were better IMO...but the rest of the sounds are better, especially the soldiers screaming 'BLEED MORTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I haven't gotten to try this out yet but after extracting boy are the files big! I thinnk I'll go get a fix before work

Anyone who has this file please mirror it, or point me where to get this ?.. I tried one place and it made me wait 40 mins while it said 1 min left and then had the nerve to say the file had been removed when I got 1st in line finally!!
