Whats your favorite game developer?

Honestly i have to go with Blizzard Entertainment. EVERY GAME they have put out has been an incredible success, and is fun to paly for just about everyone. Soem of my all tioem favorite games were developed by them.

Diablo II - I STILL play this game, even though some might think its repetitive. ITs like crack its so addictive, i swear. I played Diablo actually AFTer Diablo II,b/c i bought the battle chest.

Starcraft - No one can argue that this game was and still is good. This is possibly the best game ever put out by blizzard. One of top all fav. games. And alls they did was take warcraft add spaceships and aliens, and you got starcraft.

Warcraft : Orcs and Humans, 2 Tides of darkness and warcraft 3 with the expansion are aalso awesome RTS games. Warcraft 3 is my favorite becuase of all the mods that can be done to the maps and stuff. MY friend, aka Kite, actually made a map called " Mr. Shroom" and it was featured in Computer Gaming World. i have a subscription and when i showwed him he almost pissed himself. He put that game out like a year ago.
And its still being played?! He had a few other games like freeze tag but never new mr. shroom was popular. actaully he never even knew anyone played it.

And with WoW coming out in October i cant wait! No more life for the next year!

yea, blizzard is an amazing company...but id also have to vote for monolith...the people that made NOLF and tron 2.0...there is seriously not one blemish on their record...they make amazing games.

Rock Star = Max Payne 1 & 2
Epic Games = Unreal Tournament 2003/2004
UBI Soft = Far Cry
Blizzard = Star Craft: Broodwar, War Craft III, Diablo II
ID = Doom 3
Microsoft = Halo

Activision = Call of Duty

These are just some of the games i could remember off the top of my head.

I beleive Bungie actually developed halo, microsoft was the publisher i thi nk. Or something like that. Still its a very fun game to play

just wish you could move faster like in unreal 2004

Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Capcom are the only one's i can think of for now. EA used to be one, but now they're producing a lot of crap...

bungie was making halo as a rts for pc, then they changed it to a third person shooter, then microsoft bought bungie, and thus halo was changed to xbox, then to first person.

i forgot about bioware. They have put out increble games like NWN and all the expansions and also KOTOR. I cant wait for jade empire to be released

Ensemble Studios. They have a big team of talented people, stay in touch with the players and aren't afraid to break old successful concepts to make room for improvements. The real vanguards of the classic RTS genre during the Age of Empires series, when as good as all of the competitors just re-packeted old leftovers.
