Alright, who really plays without cheating....come on...
I watched some kids in a store here that specializes in online gaming cheating up a storm, making bots, and they love it. How about yall?

i don't use codes or "cheats" i used to, but that was when i was younger... i do use game guides from time to time, but only if i am really stuck somewhere or i don't know what i am doing in the game...

erm... currently i only cheat for debugging reasons... (quake 1)

and then cheating to practice something OR to have some fun (only in the case were everyone can cheat)

I don't cheat until I've beaten a game. In online games I never cheat.

And the cheats are only for fun, like blowing up those little dudes in Halo with a rocket launcher and stuff, not for actual gameplay.

last time i did any cheating was back when i was playing Star Craft/ Star Craft: Broodwar. Other than that, i'll go online or ask some people what to do when i'm stuck somewhere.

I can honestly say I've never used a cheat in any game that I play online.

However for single player games, once they get boring I do use the odd cheat to mess around to try get back into it.

online .... well I used to cheat in cs when I started playing cause it was so frustrating. then I stopped playing cs. then after 1 year break I started playing again last year february and never cheated. online cheating sucks!!!

offline I cheat a lot though boy...

My son, acting in my best interests gave me his copy of quake 3 arena, I am playing all night long, and still have not left Tier one, my son says "dad, you have to have the cheats" and proceeds to show me the important ones, as well as cheats for half life, and other games, he has a mind like a steel trap for this, however, he cannot maintain a C average in school, and his mind is cluttered with references to games, womens breasts, and finding unique solutions to his problems, go figure. I have not tried any cheats as of yet, I am just learning how to get my ass kicked over and over again...lol.

I will sometimes try the cheats out , but only after I beat the game without the cheats. Sometimes cheats can add a different element to a game and alow you to explore other options that you cant without them.

What's the point of playing a game in a way that it wasn't intended? That's what cheats do, just ruin the game if you haven't played it through once. My opinion anyway.

I've played with them before and even used them to get other cheats to admit that they were cheating.... wich of couse they later denied

my son gave me a cheat that lets you fly through the entire game, through all tiers, without shooting, but you can see everything, ~devmap q3dm16, then type /no clipping, my god you can fly everywhere...even off into space....or is my pain medication...or total immersion....whoa....(food for thought), I better care beful

I have cheated in the occasional singleplayer game when i've got stuck, and are too lazy to figure it out...

But i'd NEVER cheat in a multiplayer game...i simply hate people who cheats in multiplayer games

cheating is for loosers. if you cheat online, go kill yourself, because your life is useless (sorry if that was a bit harsh). Ive worked hard to make a name for myself in many games...being the best i can. it distresses me when people i have played with for a long time and trusted get busted for hacks. makes you realize you can trust nobody

Singleplayer:

i dont unless ive beat it. but whatever floats your boat

Jeff were you pointing at me with the bots thing as i was into diablo 2 botting and making money off of ebay? lol well ummm yeah i cheated then, thats the only cheat as i dont play cheats in normal games... i think cheating sux unless its a diablo 2 bot lol... d2jsp was so great. warcraft startcraft ut2k4 i dont cheat in any of those no way pure skill... thats why i suck

so what do i vote for?

if you count maphack for d2 a cheat, then i guess i did...all though it wasnt a very good cheat then IMO haha...it just made the game faster

nooooo, bots are common here, that extreme place is full of kids burning and cheating and downloading and getting their asses kicked in games...its right down the street from my ex wifes place, these stinkers are the next generation, and I dont think they will waste time with an old fart like me. Likely they will become real fraggers and sociopaths...lol.
