Anyone PLayed XIII Lately ? why only MAX 1024x768 RES ?

Guys i cant Up the Resolution in this game to 1280x1024

In the game options it maxes out at 1024x768

i tryed editing the XIII Config File and changeing to 1280x1024
i start the game up and go to the options to see and its booted the game in 640x680 lol

now i shut the game down and look in the config settings file again and its still on 1280x1024 but it does not use this in game

any help apreshiated this is driveing me nuts.
