For some reason I can't get anyone to connect to me on RW or Teamspeak for that matter. I can connect to my kids and he to me but to no one outside my network. All firewalls droped. I use a linksys router and a motorola modem on winxp pro. Any ideas? Is there another program that would more then likely work?

so you're trying to host it?

you need to find out what ports RW and TS use and them forward them to your computer through your router.

Yes I did that. Does it have to be done on the other persons computer trying to connect to me? Would the cable modem have something to do with it?

no...just make sure when you give them your IP that you give them the IP of your cable modem...not your network ip (usually something like 192.168.0.103)...if that doesnt clear it up...then it beats me

When you open the ports in the router, make sure that they're UDP (not TCP, RW used UDP)

id suggest just using Ventrilo, it seems to work a lot better for my expirance.

Ventrillo works. I had to use my network IP and not my modem IP.
