Fable

Just wondering if anyone has played fable, and what your impressions are??

Ive put about 12-14 hours into it yesterday and it seems very (!!) linear in its design. By this I mean: There is a world to explore, but the world is mostly consisted Town - Road - Town movement, with quests being taken in towns and solved in road areas.

Like i said i only put 12 -14 hours into this game and I am already maxed out in my strength, speed and average in almost EVERY other discipline (excluding one or two). The combat systerm could use some improvement also... I also have some pretty powerfull weapons.

Don't get me wrong this game is not bad at all. It is extremely fun and very well thought out (except for a certain feature which allowes one to get serious ammounts of money and experience easily). In fact i am enjoying this game very much, but would give it a B-.

Keep in mind this is my second game on X-Box (very recently bouht X-Box), and I am used to epic games: Baldurs Gate 1, 2, and all the exp. packs... Icewind Dale..., NWN with all the exp. packs also. So maybe that is why this game seems short to me.

What do you think? I would love to hear what someone else thought about this game...

the game is good...but it pales in comparison to the hype that was behidn it.

For Example:
originally, they said you could becoem a Balvarine if you were pure evil
they also said EVERYTHIGN would be interactive(destroyable landscape, etc)
the graphics are very forgettable, despite that hype too

That game keeps reminding me of that old 1996 (?) PC adventure game from Telstar named Fable. It was a pretty good game too

yea...my friend wouldnt stop talking about it before it came out. he beat it in under 10 hours and i havent heard a word about it since. (thank god)

Well the graphics its understandable they are dissapointing for us, after all It's on a console, the xbox uses like a Geforce 3... I think fable looks great considering what its running on.

The game itself was pretty fun, if not a bit on the short side, it took me 12 hours to beat, I played it again trying to be pure evil but I ended up quitting cause the game doesnt change that much even if u play evil

I hate the fact that the game's environment and storyline "isn't linear" when it really is. I feel lied to, and Will Wright and Co. should be ashamed.
