Best ancient game?
As the title says, what's ur fav classic on ANYthing... From Commodore to PC which still isn't matched today...
I find that star wars TIE FIGHTER on old MSDOS was the best game in HISTORY... Nothing I've played even comes CLOSE to it... OMG the memories... I was soo young but it's great! It needs a serious remake!!!

Colonial Conquest (v1.1) for the ST (and current st emulators). It is the only game that I keep playing 16 years after I first got it. (released 1987) Never one game managed to think it can replace it from the top of my list.
UMS, Starflight, Sensible Soccer, Ambermoon, Ascenancy, Carrier Command, Gunship, North and South (Infogrames), M1A1 Tank Platoon, Silent Service, Panzer General, XCom, Battlehawks 1942, Plutos, Test Drive the list goes on.

consoles would be earthbound on the snes
pc would be day of the tentacle (sequel to maniac mansion) multiplayer would be terris, an old MUD I played. All three of those categories change if we were to consider the current generation of games, but this is an ancient game topic

There used be a game for NES called Sweet Home that was released by Capcom. It was one of the first(if not the very first) Survival Horror games ever released. It was so cool that I had a notebook full of drawings I had done about it(I was in First Grade
). Does anyone remember Bionic Commando? Or Warzard? Those were all great Capcom games...the memories...*sniffThen there were games like Star Control 2, Master of Orion, and Zork(any release) for PC. God, games used to have so much more to offer than they do now...graphics don't mean sh*t, it's all about the gameplay!

Sensible Soccer
10 years on and the Sensible Soccer series is still widely regarded as the best soccer (or football for us non-US guys Wink) ever. Tiny players, a large view area and ultra high speed action led to serious addiction. The series was refined over the years and better team management options were added and the end result was "Sensible World of Soccer". ![]() Flashback From the same company as Another World. This is the sequel to Another World, and it's amazing too! Tense action packed romp in a strange future world. ![]()

first buy a boat then get rid of all troops except for some peasants then sail round the edge of the islands/continents and most likely will find treasure and more importantly the map to the next island, repeat untill you get to the last island where you can buy dragons or vampires and then you can fly around everywhere and with all the money you saved not buying troops you can buy a kick arse army of vampires and dragons and win the game. ^^ all from memory but i think its mostly correct. another great game is 'Crusader no regret' on Dos, great death anims |
