online quest/fighting game

does anyone else think that an online game that combined elements of an mmorpg and a fighting game would be awesome? you wander from place to place making friendships and alliances and duking it out VF or tekken style in different rings around the world.

you could pick fights in streets or bars, but would have to worry about police catching you. or you could do ring fights and make thousands of dollars. you could go and train wih some of the better players, or train by yourself. if you trained with masters your style would be more concrete, but if you went out and taught yourself you'd have the advantage of improv.

i dunno, i'd really like to see it happen considering my favorite types of games are fighting and rpg.

the problem is there really isnt an incentive to fight that much, because of the way fighting games work. you would start out with basically the same character the entire game. the only way to make it better would be to have AI people to fight over and over to 'gain levels', which would boil down to being the exact same thing.

nah, no AI, all against other online people. the only AI would be masters you could train with. you could also train with other players if you wanted, but wouldn't gain as much experience. also it would be really cool if you could create custom textures for your fighters, that way you could build a guild, or clan or whatever you want to call it and have team textures. that way there could be fight teams out there.
