System Specs

Rome:Total War has a sizeable patch coming out in a week or so with a lot of fixes and some other improvements. Though it got many awards in the state it was released I as an experienced strategist felt that the amount of bugs beneath the well polished surface shortened the lifespan of the game considerably. When the patch comes out I'll start playing it again as it seems from pre-released patch notes that most issues will indeed be fixed, together with a few other nice changes. It is a game though that to really enjoy it one must like the aspect of mixing turn based map-level strategy with the realtime tactical battles. I'd say that it's one of the best ever single-player experiences for desktop generals, or at least will be after the patch.

Big fan o the Total War series, Medievil Total War was and still is great, and Rome one ups with improved visuals and I think they finally got the interface down compared to other strategy games.
