I didn't really play games until about 1998. So missed out on a lot of old classics.
![]() But since then?
Deux Ex is still Number one on my list. If there is one common factor, it would be these game's ability to get you involved! Accept for Rome:TW and Madden NFL, all these games have a lot in common (imho). I'm interested if anyone can pick the common points .

Deus Ex...look at it this way. The graphics weren't that good. The voice acting was atrocious. The AI was laugh out loud horrible ("Nope, must have been some homeless guy.") The combat was alright, but far from satisfying. And yet I can still pick it up and play it straight though, enjoying every last second of it. Any game that can have as many flaws as that game does, and still rank high on everyone's lists...that says something.

Well.. I'm old so .. here goes:
The Zork Series---> Although completely text driven, the immersion factor was top notch. Wizardry----> Perhaps the first graphical D&D type game. Lemmings---> Different Doom---> Ground breaking game play. Shogo Duke Nukem The Seventh Guest---> Ground breaking Gameplay the first puzzle and rendering game. Under a Killing Moon Series---> Ground Breaking Gameplay (one of the first with digitized cutscenes). James Earl Jones rox Comanche (by Novalogic)---> I really do not care for flightsim type games but this one was cool. Syberia (the original)---> Ground breaking gameplay Although I hate to say it: Everquest. Deus Ex-----> This game was totally awsome to me great gameplay great storyline much better than HL2 (which as you see isnt in my list) The Thief Series ----> Great story great gameplay American Mcgee's Alice ----> Just a freaky game ... lol I liked it. Those are the ones I feel are classics in my life Hope I didnt leave any out. LOL now I feel old .. thanks. |

I few diff favs for the diff genres. For rpg, although no1s heard of it, Shinging Force 2 for sega genesis god i <3 that game, for FPS: Call of Duty/Expan these were the only FPS fames that had single player that got you into the game and made you feel like part of it, and for RTS: Warcraft 3: TFT cool story and great multiplaer.

Freedom is a feature.
|
PC: Diablo II, but probably all Blizzard games can fit here
SNES: Secret of Mana, possibly even Seiken Denetsu III; also great are Top Gear 3000, Kirby Series, International Superstar Soccer etc. Sega: Streets of Rage series, Ecco the Dolphin series, and of course Sonic series
