21 somewhat makes sence, but not really. (confuzzled)
although some of the things mentioned have been mentioned before... and if you dig through enough nintendo PR and other developers letting thier tongue slip just a bit, you could easily pick up on some of this. interesting none the less

its all going to be rumors for now most developers have 2 or 3 console designs before they finally release a final version of their next gen console PS2 did this.

Nintendo DID say they were gonna revolutionize the controller. My theory is that the right side will be some sort of touch screen interface allowing games/users to set up any button control they want as well as display information to the user
The release date from this rumor is interesting; nintendo has previously stated that they felt the gamecube was powerful enough for another generation and wouldn't be releasing a new console until 2008. Guess they realized the suicide in such a decision.

Im really looking foward to this. I know Game Cube didnt have the largest selection of games, but they sure were fun games as far as Im concerned. Alot of people ask why I picked one up and thats the only answer I have for them. Nintendo makes FUN Games, and thats all there is to it. I think Ive spent more time on my game cube than my other 2 consoles and I have fewer games for it.

Well...most of it sounds a little far fetched. But we'll see...Nintendo always pulls something revolutionary out of their @$$ every few years...

no if MS didn't want to go with xbox2 because it sounds less than ps3, wouldn't a nintendo 21 sound less than a nintendo 64? or now the xbox360
Are these companies now going to just make up numbers to add to the their product names that actually give you no idea of what generation they are?

I could see the Nintendo 21, kinda...
If they're shooting for an early 2006/Christmas 2005 release, then 2006 - 1985 (NES release date in the US) = 21. 21 years of consoles from them... but in Japan that wouldn't work since the Famicom hit the shelves in 1983. Hmm. Mysterious, either way. |
