Armies of exigo

Has anyone played Armies of Exigo? Its build on the Warcraft 3 engine. I just got it and it seems really solid. They added multi layered maps so while your in a mission you can go underground or back above to do missions. The Video sequences in it are very well done in my opinion. So far looks like a really solid rts, i haven't played to far yet thought. Has anyone got very far, I have been wondering if it is solid all the way through though. Thanks for yout thoughts.

I didn't know Blizzard licensed their engines. Is it really based on it or just similar? I can't find any info saying it's built on it. I may have to check it out

Update: Talk about your gaming clones! Just read the review at GameSpot. 6.7/10 ouch. But it looks kick ass.

Yes i have played and almost finished the 3 Campaigns

The game is a Warcraft Clone with some nice addition
It's like a better version of the Warcraft 3 but nothing really so new and thrilling

It has also the stupid Warcraft3 gameplay 12 Units selection limit, after that you have to create groups or Supergroups which still is not so efficient and is a little confusing

Not the worst game but surely i am not thrilled either
it is not so great compared from other RTS our there and some that are coming....

I would gave 7,5 out of 10 as a Score

I would suggest buying Warhammer 3000 Dawn of War
and avoid Armies of Exigo

I don't know for sure if it uses the warcraft 3 engine but if it doesn't and they cloned the game as much as it appears, I would have thought Blizzard would have filed a lawsuit against ea. Looks very similiar i only heard it use blizzard engine. I have looked to see if it has an editor or anything, but because if the different options i think it would be better at warcraft 4 for making missions and levels and what not. if you look it up on gamerankings.com it appear to have alot of mixed reviews, haven't made my final judgement yet.
