who is it for you?

maybe archimonde, he was so damn powerful but arthas rose to the top to become one with the lich king so its hard to pick for me.

sephiroth was another good one, destroy the world, when it heals steal its energy to be reborn a god

I don't know why, but the Georgian dictator (forgotten his name) from Splinter Cell came to me, maybe coz the way the game played, it made him look more powerful than he actually was. It was hard to believe in the end that he was so "disposable".

And Archimonde was insanely powerful in WC3, Arthas was nothing compared to him, but then again, so many of the other bad guys in WC3 were silly powerful as well, like Mannaroth, the death lords, doom guards (although when you got to eventually fight them, they seemed to be just big for nothing

) and that other elf hero dude when he gets some crazy power from that death skull, even though he wasn't that evil afterward anyway.

Other than that, I'd say the other Hitmen in Hitman 1: Code name 47, they were really much better than you, that's for sure, and Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 who's already got a mention, now he was real powerful, no doubt about it, whenever you saw him, you always just wanted to run and hide.

Not sure if hes really a villian, but to me he is, Cash from Manhunt! Although you dont really know much about him, hes still cool!

Most the villains nominated are demons etc. I rate Nicole Horn (I think) from Max Payne as a nasty one. Then again I think Max Payne is one of the best games ever...

Yeah, Nicole Horn was definetely one bad ass wooly baba!!!

I don't think that helicopter crash killed her for some reason, never know, she might be making a reappearance soon when Max Payne continues his journey through the night.

as for greatest villian, sephiroth gets my vote. although Wesker from Resident Evil is starting to rank really really high up there. that is one evil son of a bitch, and i love him for that. every RE game that comes out, the more evil he becomes, and the more i like him

nah, my real personal fav villan has to be the guy at the end of far cry. spend about 100 reloads getting thorugh all the rocket launcher guys and end up with him - one shot in the leg and he's dead practically!

sephiroth lost my vote because 1 hit kills him at the end...i'm serious, play the game, and instead of attacking him w/ omni-slash, do something to waste the turn. the game automatically assigned counter materia to cloud and he kills him w/ a single counter slash...

ogre was pretty cool in tekken 3, and hehaichi is always deadly. tekken is the only game with a short story but rich plot.

ultimecia sucked in ff8, but seifer was pretty cool. i actually liked the whole story with the turks in ff7 upto the end of disc 2, but thats getting off topic

Anyone play an OLD NES game called "The Guardian Legend"

the very very end boss.... when you excape and are flying through space... you meet up with this huge guy..... after the first stage of his attacks... he turns a slight brown.... at which point things get incredibly tough.... this point your usually riding the mid health level.... with very little energy for your special weapons left....

course things get incredibly hairy when the bastard turns red and you basically are screwed as within 3 seconds of him turning red.. you dead period.... Only game i ever ran into something as impossible as that frigen thing...

SNES, Illusion of Gaia (i think).... collect 500 red jewels and near the end get into the secret place... at the end of the secret area, is the bastard i've never passed...

I'm not just talking about being hard to defeat.. just absalutely evil in terms of thier excistance throughout the game and being an utterly worth competitor when you do indeed end up fighting them..

I mean, Sonic the hedgehogs the robotnic.... sure he's a wuss... but when he created the humongus metal variant of Sonic.... my gaud, that was incredible hard to figure out how to kill!

death egg was crazy, so was the egg carrier. in sonic 3 and sonic and knuckles he was pretty challenging i have to say. if you watch the adventures of sonic the hedgehog cartoon, it was pretty sick since the show was a little more on the serious side and he did manage to robotosize a lot of people. only if he was that serious in the game it would of made him a lot better.

kerrigan is another huge villian from starcraft, if u remember she was a fallen terran ghost who later leads the zerg brood to victory defeating the terran and chasing the protoss away. if you think about it, starcraft and warcraft III's story's are riduculously similar. the outcome in the end with both the undead and zerg victorious are the same. a hero fell and was reborn into the leader of the villians.
