I seen my local Best Buy has this game for $34.99. I was wondering if any of you had picked this up for PC, and your experience with it?

Got it. Loaded it with correct procedures and updated drivers etc. Game crashed after opening just al the load screen comes up. jcallen3316 over at Game FAQ's said to disable full screen effects and I did and it works. Needs a patch to get the graphic settings to work right that is not out yet.

The game itself is pretty good once you get into it to about the 4th mission. Once a patch is out it should look much better than just a little better than X-Box.

the game does indeed crash with quite a few nvidia drivers if you enable full screen effects, even the golden 71.84 set. On ATI with the newest offical catalysts its much more solid and looks nicer.

However the game is basically a console port with low res textures and some shoddy coding. Its still quite playable but I couldnt recommend it for purchase.

well I dont know the game is pretty flaky and once you load it up you will see the way its been ported from the console has required them to do minimal work, it looks better on ATI right now than nvidia but neither is jawdropping unless you are used to consoles and like the higher resolutions available. That all said, its quite a lot of fun in parts although I think it will get tedious rather soon.

Personally i can think of better ways to spend 35 bucks.

Got into it quite a bit farther and have enjoyed the game despite not having full graphic effects. Eidos did write back on my inquiry as to the problem. Hoping they will either come out with a game patch or work with Nvidia on a driver solution. Saw where their company was purchased so maybe things will be less stressfull on them for awhile and they can get the game running right???

Well it runs fine on my old 9800pro powered P4 system with all effects on, so it is just a problem with the high end nvidia cards
