WoW Free Hard Drive Space?

Hi! I plan on buying WoW, and I'd like to know how much space it takes... In the F.A.Q. it says I need 4 GB or more avaible hard drive space, but with the patches I expect I'll need more than 4 GB.. Can you WoW players just tell me how big is your WoW folder?

Also, is there big organized events and wars on PvP servers or should I look into RPG servers?

3,78 GB (4.062.351.360 bytes)

that's the space it takes on my computer.

EDIT: right, to answer your second question.. I think
I've never played on PvP servers, only RP servers, because I like getting into character and acting like someone I'm not. But we get enough PvP there.

Better to have at least 5 gig, in case of future patch.

I perfer PvP then PVE, PvP is a challage If you're an alliance side, some horde might gank you. But it won't happen on mostly lvl 1 to 15 lvl area. Make sure you get a balance server for PvP because I went to one of the server that were 75 percent of hordes, that's no fun at all because I've ganked many time

So I went to Deatwing and it was 52 percent hordes, so it's perfect

The game does require just a bit under 4gbs of space and the patches aren't that big considering. Last I remember was around 50mb or so of download from retail to latest version; not sure of the space when it was installed though.

And yes, there are big PVP raids organized (almost every day in my guild) and this is not even on a PVP server.

How's the pvp in RP Servers? Is it like normal servers? If so I'll just stick to pvp server...

Daedal, in what kind of server are you playing?

In a carebear server. AKA, non-PVP.
I'm on the Eonar server.

PvP on RP servers is like on the normal ones, yes.
I didn't go to PvP servers because I like being in a place where there is less "OMFG! Liek d00d wtf?!" talk. The fact that I can't attack aliiance scum(hehe) whenever I want is, is a bit of a bother. But I get by.

Hey I was on school you know, doing nothing, then I thought:"Will I get the chance to participate in/see when the dark portal will be opened by warlocks? 'Cause I read the RP follow the story, what of the other server types?"

I was a little surprised RP servers are not PvP, but after getting on Illidan a couple of weeks ago I know see why. It's a bruttle realm with level 50's ganking 25's with no remorse. I am a MMOG newbie and if I didnt have a guild to back me up I'd hate it. Still, I think there should be a choice for Role Players.
