Having a TIME with Shadows of Undrentide!
Those of you that recommended this sequel to Neverwinter Nights were right on!!!
I've had a blast with it and am still trying to finish it. At the moment, I'm trying to defeat the Spirit of Divine Fists down in one of the tombs. This guy packs a WHOLLOP!!! When checking his stats, he's got a rating of IMPOSSIBLE. However, I've discovered that I can cast a couple of Dispel Magics on him to weaken his resistance some. Also, nearby is the Holy Avenger sword. This sword is very powerful and also has a special Dispel Magic with it. I've nearly whipped this guy once....got him all the way down to "nearly dead" and he revived and knocked me out cold! LOL! Any hints without totally spoiling the fun? EDIT: Nevermind about the tips and help. I'm WAY past this part now. Just went through the Portal after Master Drogan sacrificed himself to let us through.

BUMP.....
Dyre Straits and his faithful companion, Dorna Trapspringer, reached the top of the Temple of Winds to confront the wicked lich, Heurodis. Sadly, Dorna was once again switched by confusion (as she had been twice before) and attacked Dyre. Leading her from the arena, Dyre regretfully killed Dorna in secret so as not to encourage his main enemy, Heurodis. And so it was, at the final battle, there stood only two: Dyre Straits and Heurodis. Trading strike after strike, Heurodis finally weakened as Dyre's blows became stronger. Finally, Heurodis fell to the floor -- dead -- and no longer a threat to Faerun....or the rest of the world. And, Undrentide once again fell from the sky never to rise again. Or will it? |

Hordes of the Underdark rocks totally over SoU. And SoU over NWN regular campaign. I've played two years NWN on RP closed servers. DM tools are awesome. There are lots of singleplayermods around www.nwvault.com which are WAY better than bioware mods. Bioware won't come even close to those. Dreamcatcher is awesome series for example.

I played Neverwinter Nights for 2 years, online and offline. SoU was the only expansion I never got around to finish. Just seemed to lack something. HotU on the other hand is a very Epic tale, and of course it also takes you into epic levels. I finished that one at around level 27.
