this is my favorite scene ever in a game, this is one of the most brutal torture scenes you will ever see in a game or movie so caution to the people who can't handle the bloood. in addition, major spoiler warning to players of MGS3

Sadly still haven't played this game...will probably report back to this thread when I have...bit busy on the academic side of things, maybe in the hols I'll get a chance (coz there's alreayd so many other titles I've got to play).

yea this scene really shows you how much of a real soldier he is, they had to actually cut parts out i heard because it came too graphic. wut i like about mgs2 and mgs3 is that all the facial and body expressions are extremely realistic, most pc games on the market still feel like they are simply models in the gaming world. just look at the detail with all the blood and electricity in this scene.

the sound is kinda flat, picture quality is great

how the hell do u guys get ps2's in india? man my relatives live in calcutta and i think they don't even know what a video game console is...

I may be indian too mate but I live in europe

But my cousins in Dehli and stuff (and also in Punjab with the rest of my family) can buy tons of consoles and stuff. Calcutta should have that stuff too!

LOL- yeah I let it go for an hour and it finally finished- I try it again to test speed and it was over 150K, LOL..

bmx wut did you think, and yea the server's speed fluctuates quite a bit. but its worth the download, its 11 mins of tension. basically snake has infiltrated the enemy fortress groznyj grad to rescue the scientist sokolov, he disguised himself as ivan raidenovich (parody of mgs2's raiden, but this guy is actually gay with volgin) and is caught by volgin and the boss. scene opens with sokolov being killed (its that horrible crunching you hear)

Its pretty good- the plot seems a little crazy like MGS2, but that's to be expected i guess. I would really like to play this on my PC!!

That wasn't gruesome at all, it was pretty lame. I've seen much much much worse in movies.

ya its not very gruesome really, but it does look much better when your actually playing the game. it is a pretty cool clip though.

its a more realistic approach compared to someone hanging from their buttcrack which is less realistic.

yes while that is true, i know ive seen alot more vilolent scens before that where pretty realistic. i just cant think for the life of me what game it was.....

but its still out there aways with sokolov haveing 10 million volts coursing thorugh him.

snake is getting tortured by the 10 million volts, sokolov is the scientist that is being killed. since you have the bag over your head it's like you can't see him being killed, but it sounded like he was being crushed or something.

i love wut ocelot does with his revolvers, puts in a bullet and you don't know when he's going to shoot it

and yes, ocelots revolver jugleing was cool. but also watching him get his ass handed to him more then once was just as cool.

The MGSs are great but the plots are pretty weird, I love the mean dude in this and his "im going to pump 1 zillion million volts through you" mmmm ok, a few thousand would be enough

yea but i have to admit, they are more intelligent than a lot of movies out there. loads of twists. but the detail levels in the jungle on this game are jaw dropping, too bad the ps2 cant pull it off at 60 fps.

i was going to pick up MGS on the PSP, but I dont know even though its getting great reviews, it looks kinda lame, anyone got it or played it?
