vsynch is whether or not the frame rate will be limited by your monitor's refresh rate. For ex.: if your monitor refreshes at 75hz, your frame rate will never go above 75 f.p.s.

Anistropic filtering increases the clearity of textures from a distance. its nice to have on as long as your graphics cards can take it. I try to enable it whenever i can. i dont think i have ever used v-sync though. kinda pointless if you ask me

OK, so anisotropic filtering = increase the number value and Vsync don't worry about it ----is that right? Running on a 6800gt so I wanna make it work

Anisotropic filtering is a nice thing to add, and your card can definately take it.

yeah man, your card can take just about anything. i would just turn on Anistropic filtering through the nvidia CP just so its on all the time. and maybe some 4x AA too. that helps with jagged edges.

Please feel free to tell us what your video card is (entire system specs is even better), so we can suggest. Or better yet, experiment on your own The worst thing that could happen is that you will be shooting nazis at 10 FPS.
