its avail now, i got a flyer ad thing in the mail today saying the PC version is on special for $79 as is the xbox...

But i wont be paying for it...

this is where the game publishers let themselves down

why release a game in the US and then a few days later in europe ... surely they realise that the UK , Aus peeps will download it instead of waiting ...

global release date FFS its the way to go release it everywhere at the same time it will kill quite a bit of the warez downloads

Anyone else finding the game runs smoother when you turn the draten securom off? I gaint quite a bit of performance. The slowdown I was getting when I first bought the game from EB went away when I patched it with the code from my german friends

-Side note-

Anyone else find it funny that it took less than 12hrs for this to get patched, and that there are other games useing the same BS that arent? Just goes to show you, when the germans or the koreans want something done, they get it done. Wish we had that type of drive over here in the US. I guess thats why we are all getting fat as hell. lol

Well battlefield bores me to tears so id go with GTA SA, depends on the genre you like more really, both seem the best in their field.

i think ill probably pick it up some time soon. i loved the game on my PS2, and will look and run so much better on my comp.

as for my favorite ride, gotta be one of those crotch rockets. i had so much fun on those things.

I fell asleep playing this (and I loved GTA3, liked GTAVC) so there, that's my opinion (I got it on PS2)

The pc version looks much supeirior. I have a PS2 and this game and lets be honest it sucks donkey tits. At least if it looks good and moves without looking like your granny on valium, it might be more enjoyable.

very true... i own the 3 and VC both on PC and PS2 and PC is more enjoyable but I'm starting to get tired of the forumla... GTA needs drastic change to get me back

Actually I played it for 30 minutes there, after getting more work done for the site, and it runs beautifully on the 6800 go chip.

1680x1050 AA setting on 2 in game, everything maxxed including draw distance, runs beautiful. however this laptop is pretty powerful with a 4ghz P4 and 2 gig of DDR2.

I cant wait to get time to play this !

Ummm... It's a rather large install.

Never really been a fan of the previous GTA's. I did like Mafia though.

Well the PS2 is so bad you would hardly be able to see anything on it in SA anyways!!! and it runs/looks like shit on it too!!!!
