Not sure, but that might be against site rules bud....

Although it isn't a direct link to warez- it's close.

You might want to check with a mod or something- and delete the link in your post until then, but thanx for update.

it would be stupid to pirate this game anyways- as its really MP based and single player in the BF game sucks

From the sounds of it, they dont even need a crack to play on the multiplayer servers.

From the sounds of it, it wouldnt have been worth releaseing if it didnt have multiplayer as the bots are horrible in the bigger maps.

LOL... This is typical. I wonder if they are going to blame "us" (the consumers) for this one??? They should something about the reviewers copies.

I do have an idea that may stop the "leaking" of reviewers copies. If the game companies want to pm me here I will be glad to share it. I even have an idea for the review copies of movies and music cd's that are released. I am sure that no one will PM from the MPAA, RIAA, or companies like EA, but I do have a fesable solution.

I have already pre-ordered this one. I liked the demo that much.

The crack version of BF2 only works online until the 21st when the game comes out. Like the guy said Battlefield games are useless without the retail cd key cause the single player is nothing but bots.

If there ever was a game worth buying this is it.

From reading online sources, it seems this is not from a press copy. This is a "Darn you EBgames factory for not watching your crap" type of release.

Places like amazon and eb get this crap in like 10 days before the actual street date so that they can prep it for shipping to online order peeps.

Its also gotten alot easyer to make copys of games "clones" that can be done with a Ipod. Ipods are wonderfull little toys.

All that aside, BF2 kinda bores me after playing fear.

Is the PC community shooting itself in the foot or what? Play the demo. If you like it, buy it. If the full game sux, then return it. So many vendors offer that option now that if the place you bought it from doesn't, then stop shopping there.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, it's just a general comment.

If I could return games that would be awsome, but ever since cd-rs became standerd in a computer, there is'nt a place dumb enough to let you bring it back. Even if you can prove that it wouldnt install on your pc, they tell you tough crap.

Actually if you smart you can. You excange it for another "sealed copy" wich you can do. then try to return t another day or sell it on ebay of something and get most of you money back + na full working version for you self. Not that I'd do that it's just not impossable

I used to do that, atleast untill it just became more of a hassel than a benifit. Ebgames and bestbuy in my area insist on opening your new game if it is a return exchange. I fixed the eb guys wagon though, I got a shrink wrap machine

I hope the retail product is better than the demo. The menu's feel clunky when doing certain actions(hitting multiplayer, organizing by ping etc) could have been done a lot smoother and hope that it is in final release.

Ive now had the chance to play the final at my friends house and it is quite a bit more polished. The bots are still dumb as crap but the graphics (after the first run) are quite a bit more stable.

I don't promote using pirated games, but i'm sure glad i did it with BF2.. So glad i allready cancelled my pre-order.

I do not know what is wrong with this game.. All games run fine sofar, no lock-ups nothing. I can play BF2 for a whole whooping 10 min. maximum and then it just freezes, sounds get's to a chriping shriek and i see a blue screen (not a BSOD) just plain blue. I used the Omega 5.4 first and got texture problems.. Reverted back to the 5.1 recommended by EA and from that time on the game just crashes.. looks great, have to admit that, but i rather waited a month longer and hoped EA would fix this and the horrible shadows.. Come on.. my nephew's PC with a FX5900XT has better looking shadows.

I heard that ATI was working on a hotfix or something? Any word about that CM or anyone else?
I was looking forward on buying this game, but the fun is all gone now almost. It has to be game related seeing all the other games are running flawless..

Extra info.. Game runs on an ASUS X800XT PE, with 5.1 drivers + CCC
1600x1200 @ 70HZ ingame.. all settings set to high and drawdistance is 100% no AA
I saw in the overdrive tab that my temp was around 61 degrees Celsius.. didn't think this was too high for the card.

Hopefully anyone else had this problem and found a workaround or knows how it happens

I heard that the 10 minute bug was caused by a faulty crack. I mean come on... This game is useing a pretty crappy protection to not have some custom crap that needs to be cracked.

Ok.. well it isn't only the full game.. The demo started doing it also alot since reverting to 5.1. The 5.6 drivers were allready a no go for me, seeing in the thread i started last week.

Hopefully the game will be patched, cause @ the moment my pre-order is off, no way im gonna play a game that has bugs like the horrible shadows and locking-up

Indeed. It's like those morons who are seeding Guild Wars. You can download the game from the main site! All you need is the client and what you need will be streamed to you!

As for BF2. I'm certainly not buying this game to play with bots~ Although this game does need polish, I don't mind witnessing these changes first hand.

I had crappy looking shadows until I looked at the games graphics settings. The game defaulted my Geforce 6600GT OC to LOW.... Setting everything to medium fixed that problem.

As far as the crashing... well what do you expect when you openly admit that you are pirating the game??? I am curious though.. when you changed video driver versions did you use driver cleaner first???????????

You have what looks to be a nice system to play BF2 on... Check my sig.. the demo plays great on my computer.

this game could easily look better on lower end cards. the physics are the only thing working well on older cards. ut2004 looks better at higher settings than bf2 at lower settings. its not fair lol

Like i said i don't promote using pirated games and had this game in pre-order, i really wanted to buy this game seeing me and my friends own the original and Vietnam games and liked both of them. Kinda glad i tried the full before release. Had i not tried it, then i would be throwing 50 euro's away. The demo had sometimes problems, but i thought it was because it was a demo. Untill there comes a patch of some sort, BF2 is unfortunatly a game i have to cross from my list of games to get

Offcourse i use Drivercleaner the best thing out there. My system has to run it flawless and the 10 min. that is does it runs smooth as butter but the only downside is the crashing and lock-ups and i can't find any apparent reason for it. That's why i posted here and maybe someone experienced something similar

I'll admit the whole "try before you buy" thing can be a great way to save you from wasting good money. But that's only in regard to seeing how it runs on your system. When people grab a pirated copy and then say "it runs well, but I didn't like it, ain't gunna fork out cash for it", well, that's just wrong. It's like reading a book, and then deciding you're not going to purchase it.

I know you didn't do that, but, as has been pointed out, you trialled a hacked version. Are you suprised it ran like a dog?

As for the demo running shithouse, I have had pretty much nil dramas with it, apart from the slow refresh in the multiplayer screen. And none of my clan ( over 60 of us) has had any insurmountable problems either.

I must admit though, being an ATI owner, whenever I see that Nvidia logo at the beginning of a game, I get a little uncomftable.

Anyway, I pick up the game tomorrow, so will be interested to see how it runs.I'm sure there will be issues; most PC games seem to have a few, if not heaps, at the initial release, but DICE (despite EA being involved) are usually pretty good at giving ongoing support.

And I'm sure the modders will go hard at creating some good stuff.

I hope that after the release you hear good reports about the game, and you go out and buy it. And have a ball playing it!

This is meant to be constuctive criticism, but if it upsets you - buy the game, find me on a server, and I'll let you knife me!

Just look for =ADF=Pigdog

Hmm, the demo ran smooth for me. The only time I get stutters is when I'm on 64 player maps because I've only got a gig of RAM. Graphic wise, it runs like butter on my system but then again, I'm only playing at 1024x768, everything maxed out.

Anyhow, I can't wait for retail..

In no way am i upset with your post pigdog, actually i think the same about it As for the game i did a quick clean install of windows and installed the 5.6 drivers. Gonna see how it works now and hopefully it wil run better now. If it keeps going smooth then im gonna buy it (cancelled the cancellation of my BF2 copy, pretty sentence hehe If i remember correctly BF1942 had a shitload of bugs plagueging the game and as each patch came out well the game got better. So im gonna take the dive and buy the game and maybe im gonna hold you to that promise only i hope you'll put up a good fight You'll see me as UnI-NL or [BGA]UnI.

Hope to see you soon on these battlefields then
