Big Grin how to know when you've played too much BF2

So after my extended login problems last night for BF2, I eventually got down to playing around 11pm. Unfortunately its addicitve like crack so I ended up playing until almost 2am. (yikes).

Today on the way to work my commuter train broke down with a lurch. The 2 hour wait was a pain, but more interesting was how I reacted to the disruption.

I had a window seat. Immediately upon the train coming to a halt (in a grassy field near an industrial district) I sat up and visually scanned the corners of the building to look for TOW missiles... then I rapidly glanced at the sky overhead for helicopters...only when i turned to look out the OTHER window did I realise how spastic I was being. WTF AM I DOING???

I had a good chuckle over this a few moments later, and I'm certain my limited sleep (4 1/2 hours) contributed to my delusion. Pavlov would be happy with me.

Sometimes I'll close my eyes and see a Mr. Driller level and start drilling through it.

Replace "a Mr. Driller level" with "your mom" for a funnier post. ymmv.

'No' to meds, 'no' to smoking... i think the fact that I was dozing off at the time contributed to my reaction.

Although once I was racing down a staircase with a friend in university... he took the last 3 steps in one jump, and then instincitvely he spun around to face me. He sheepishly grinned... "Quake reflex...I just rocketed you."

I gave a guy a contusion in his eye, because we were playing airsoft, and I thought it was counter-strike and aimed for his head . His eye was bleeding....

We play tagball here (same as paintball, but with rubber balls instead) and was wearing a full-face mask. I creeped around a corner and while I was looking up, I got shot in the throat. I got lucky though because the ball very slightly hit the edge of the mask's bottom and then hit my throat or I'd be sipping soup..

As far as the gaming vs real life goes, I remember my friend telling me that he went out fishing one day and in the middle of the lake, had to go use the can. He got up and tried to Lifestone Recall. We were big Asheron's Call players at that time. Cracks me up every time I think about it.

yeah you should se how i walked to the store after i played civilization for 28 hours almost nonstop. diagonal steps on the checked stone passages to save distance. made me look stupid for sure

bf2 and bf42 dreams sure, but they are kinda violent and doesnt provide the best sleep. first time i did a dive bomb with the stuka it was in my dreams intense often the same scene with sound and all. but no big things now in bf2

Big Grin

you know you've been playing BF1942 or BF2 way too much when you go to work the next day and you'd swear you saw people in your office walking around with little red or blue tags floating above their heads... then you hear this radio call in your head...

'Enemy slicks inbound, do you copy!'..

lol god ive got crap like that happen all the time.

for paintball though, i dont even need to see what im shooting at any more to hit them.

couple of years ago, a friend of mine was about 15-20 feet infront of me (opposing team) behind this huge amount of foilage. couldnt see a damn thing through it at all. i hear this little rustle in the bush and jump up and pop of 3 shots. (he thought i was running full auto, in reality i was only running semi. i got pretty damn fast on the trigger) anyways, he starts screaming bloody murder after i nail him.

i started talking to him after the game was done and it turns out i got 2/3 of my shots through the brush and hit him dead on in the mask. the first shot caused the mask to flex back, second shot nailed him right in the lip. it swelled up to the size of a large marble, got cought in his braces, and he was spitting blood for the rest of the day.

fun times, we still laugh about it to this day.

Does excessive gaming cause mental illness?

You sound like your suffering from paranoid delusions and dementia.

Excessive gaming just makes me tired.
