Madden 06 and PC Release Date?

The release date for consoles seems to be set in stone, however I am seeing/hearing conflicting info on the PC release. I was in gamestop a few weeks ago and the guy told me that it would be out the same time as consoles. However I was checking out the gamestop, ebgames, walmart, and bestbuy sites, and the results were confusing. Walmart had the game shipping Jul 27th, Bestbuy had it the middle of Aug, and both Ebgames and Gamestop had it listed for the end of August. The official Madden site had dates for the consoles, but no specific date for the PC. I know that last year PC users got the major shaft having to wait a month after the console releases, and things are not looking too good this year either. Does anyone have any more official information?

why not just pick up an xbox360, ea seems to be moving away from the pc all teh time

Im sure the Xbox360 will be great, but I would rather drop the money into a new PC. Plus i believe the games for the new systems are going to be $60 instead of 40 or 50. I still have a hard time believing they are going to outperform high end PC. I guess we'll see when they come out. I was also hoping that as consoles become closer and closer to mini-PCs that it would make it easier and drive developers to create more games cross platform.
