I did, just stopped paying attention to the Expansion storylines as I thought it was just more content instead of a further explination of th estoryline. Thanks for clearing it up though.

I'm playing Tribunal now. It's got its problems, but, it still is very interesting.
I was VERY happy to be able to continue with my current character...all the skills, levels, inventory, everything. Also, I might have come across a fix for the occasional crashes I was having in the game. I posted about this over at the GameBanshee forums. One person suggested changing the lighting from Linear to Quadratic. I did that and played for over 2 hours without the first hint of a crash. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the fix for it. AND, the game really looks MUCH better with Quadratic Lighting anyway! I'm not sure just why this wasn't a significant item of discussion a long time ago. The only other setting was to adjust the lighting level from 1.0 to 1.6. Some say 1.7 and others say the best is 1.4. But, those can be tinkered with and used at your own discretion. As I mentioned: There are some problems. I encountered a guy who was willing to put himself out for hire for 30 days and 'sleep when I sleep, fight when I fight' and so forth. I went ahead and hired him, got him equipped a little better, and then lost him down in a flooded chamber. He hasn't died or anything....he just won't FOLLOW me out of the chamber of water. So, I took away some things I didn't want to lose and left him there. There really ought to be a way to fix this kind of thing. But, he simply kept swimming upward and into a big pipe. I think I'm getting pretty well done with the quests in Godsreach. I think the only one left to do is find some Dwemer metal scraps so a guy can fix his robot fight arena. A question for those who played and finished the expansions: How long -- compared to Morrowind -- should it take to complete Tribunal and Bloodmoon? |

I didn't bother trying to beat the exp when I had it for Box. And don't hire mercs, they are always worthless ( when they are not absorbing blows). You'll probably finish well before Oblivion is released, so you'll be ready for it : ). I on the other hand am very rusty, not having played Morrowind for a very long time and not having a copy readily available at the moment. GL with finishing the game though.

the gods are never really immortal as they can be killed, even before you destroy the heart. I also thought it was lame that you couldn't choose to use the tools to make yourself a god like the others did. They made so many hints about it being possible that I really expected the option to be there.

the expansions are both much much shorter than the original, even if you do every little side quest available. Can't give a real time as it depends alot on how you play. Myself I'm a vampire and never sleep except to level up. So if time needs to pass before something happens then I go do other stuff. I have a cool cloak that was made in the construction set that hides my vampiric 'features' so that people talk to me normally and the quests aren't broken.

well linear is only a single pass lighting effect
quadratic lighting is a 4 pass lighting effect,.. which would look better, coz its more detailed..

)Anyway, I can't say that any other game, other than maybe NeverWinter Nights, has kept me so busy for so long. And, yet, there's still so much more that can be done that's not essential. |
