Fable (PC) Leaked!

It looks like Fable: The Lost Chapters for PC has been leaked a few hours ago. Just check some torrent sites. The download is ~2.4 GB.

I have Fable on Xbox, but i didn't play it because it is so demanding for the Xbox. Seriously, in many areas of the game, there is total FPS laggage. On top of that, the loading of going from one area to the next just took too damn long. Don't get me wrong, i would have loved to have played it on my Xbox, but for that much laggage on a game, to me it's just unbearable.

But now that it's going on PC, i i'll give it a shot

well if you spend quite some time modding it, it is possible however not really worth the effort. Some people have even watercooled their xboxes. fun but.........

Be for warned, the talk on this release is that when the patch comes out when the game is released that save games will not be compatable with the patch. Playing a NON released game b4 the launch date sets you up for these kinds of things. Other than that, the PC version is what the Xbox version was going to be, but they ran outa time.

Problem with the PC version of the game well this VERSION above lol and its annoying me to hell

the game keeps defaulting to 640x480 resolution when you try to load the game.
no matter what setting you pic it keeps defaulting from 1280x1024 to 640x480

i refuse to play in that res.

EDIT:

lol i figured out the problem for some reason SETTING the SHADOWS to VERY VERY HIGH makes all your settings revert to the lowest possible with a res of 640x480 there for make sure the shadow setting is 1 notch bellow the max then all your graphics settings will STICK.

remember, it's just a beta. That issue could be fixed by the time the game is released. Or they can simply overlook that issue and get the fix done with a patch

Actually, in the readme that I read at my friends house that is contained in the game folder, the games settings are intelligant unlike my spelling in most cases.. lol

But anywho, evidently if the game thinks that your PC cannot handle the setting, it defaults them all to the lowest possible setting so that you dont get locked out of the game. I think this game might support shader 3.0 and setting the shadows to the max as you said causes it to do a O SHIZIT!

I enjoyed it on the Xbox and will definitely give it another go on the PC now that they've added over 30% more content. Just hope they price it around $30...not sure its worth the $50 price tag anymore even with the addons.

I dont like how you can get the best bow in the game within 30 min of playing. I also think that they should have change the game menus as they definatly along with the loading zones being ALL over REAK of almost a direct console port.

The graphics is awesome. But there are some weaknesses:
1. Movement is limited, unlike Gothic where you could go everywhere.
2. Everything is simplified (statistics, weapons, armor).
3. Searching a body gives you a fixed amount of gold, or one item. (Wouldn't it be logical, to get some weapons and armor too?)
4. Opening a chest gives you exactly ONE item.
5. Traders bug, hopefully they will fix it in retail.

Some funny things:
1. get a heavy axe and try wielding it when your strength is low
2. women and men can fall in love with you.
3. I just love my "Chicken chaser" hero nickname
4. Kicking chickens for prizes

It's a nice RPG, but not a musthave like Gothic 2. (Make a game with gothic proportins & Fable graphics and it will be awesome).
