BF2 thoughts

hey guys just wandering what your thoughts are on BF2?

The wife picked it up for me today as my cousin and i were talking about it last night and she thought she would be nice and suprise me with it today. Well I was suprised and always like gifts but I am worried about all the bugs I have read about and how immature the community is in the fact that they dont want to play it as it was meant to be played and all the team killing and what not.

Just looking for what you think of the game before I either open it or return it.

i enjoy the game quite a bit. There are so many different servers to play on, so if you feel you are getting cheated on one, just simply leave and join another server

. The game overall is good IMO. But that's just me. Everybody has their own opinion(s) on the game itself.

im gonna have to agree with CD's.

the game is very fun. ya, theres some BS in it but the next patch should take care of all of it. and ya, there are a TON of servers out there. dont like the one your in? just find another.

ive been playing for about 2 months now, and i do see stat whoreing and TKing every now and then, but for the most part its not too bad at all.

Thanks, do you play on the same server most of the time or with a clan?

I have heard that playing with a clan is the best way? Is there a DH Clan anywhere?

With your system specs I wouldn't think you would have any trouble running the game. I myself enjoy it quite a lot and haven't had any serious problems with it. There are definately some bugs that are annoying, and a few that are more than annoying, but I have great expectations for the next patch.

I play mostly with my clan. I like having a "buddy" or two, or more, to team up with and communicate with. Most of the time people don't talk on the in game comm system, but it can be a lot more fun if you do get with people who are willing to communicate.

You don't necessarily need to be in a clan, but often the clan servers are the best admined and feature the most teamwork attempts. If you look around some, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a server where the play is decent and the players to your liking.

We have just a little 16 player ranked server but everyone here at DH is certainly welcome to play on it. We will be gathering tonight for our weekly Friday Night Fights - you might check after about 9:00 est for people to be on it. Most everyone there with |GRB| clan tags would be willing to help you learn the game.

yeah, keep it, its a fun game. It really didn't have too many problems with 1.00 but it will be nice to get 1.3.

Just remember to have fun, and don't give a crap about stats, or at least after 1000 points.

i just play wherever i can find a decent amount of people, and a good ping. normaly its the city maps, but i play all over the place.

margin, i may stop in the server tonight if i see people there.

I love BF2, there's just so much to do and like about it. But you can't really expect everyone to like it.

Turnout is looking like it might be a bit light this week given the holiday, but please stop by if you see people on. Jump into Teamspeak too if you want. Again we are happy to have anyone on the server (well, as long as you aren't a tker or the like anyway).

I'm |GRB|S@rge in game btw, and it isn't looking like I will be able to get on before 10:00 est at this point

well i was thinking the same thing first then played a lil more and now really enjoy this game .. but, loading time are too long... when u quit i take like 2 minutes before your computer can do somethingelse because the game take all the memory / CPU power... finnaly it is hard to keep up with player that play 12 hours a day so if you re the kind of guy who want to be the best it is almost impossible ..hey i got a life after all !!!

Still, if you like multiplayer FPS genre then it is the best one on the market right now, gogeous graphic and much more realist than any other FPS war game .

most shots ive ever needed to drop some one was about 5-6, and that was all over the body with a pistol from 50 meters. on average, i can drop some one in 3-4 shots tops.

but i will agree with the loading/unloading. ive sat for almost 5mins waiting for the damn things to log in. although a few days ago, i did manage to some how log in with in 5 seconds.

Not thoughts on BF2 because it requires no thought process to play. I could play as the greatest Commander ever with my eyes closed. This game is no skill, and a no brainer (similiar to your GTA series). The expansion may be good though.

Well I played on the top ranked servers with 64 people in em, Art of War and ones like those, always was a commander and always got more kills than everyone else (not with airstikes. This game is pretty easy. As a sniper I kill a lot of people before dieing once. I was reduced to my knife because I ran out of bullets. 1-2 shots with the M24 and 2-3 shots with a pistol all at close range. The game is not very challenging, the only challenging part is the stats system, but that system is just plain stupid.

I feel kind of bad for you playing the game long enough to be a corporal.

dont be, i absolutly love it. i find new things about it all the time that make it fun.

tank whoreing it for a few rounds and racking up tons of kills.

knife only for a week (now have my expert knife badge, and a 240 knife kills now)
pistol only for a week ( Expert Pistol badge, 805 pistol kills now)

If things are too easy, you're just not playing aganst the right people.
It's fairly easy to find servers where you can drop everyone llike flies, and I never stay in those servers long. Although it helps for ones ego, heh.
Been playing mostly on local(Icelandic) servers, and I usually fight against people that play 5-16 hours a day. And I'm quite satisfied if I make the top 5 on my team.

As for snipers, they are quite easy to avoid, unless they drop me in one shot.

the game's good with a few glitches - all of which should be worked out in the next patch

after the 1.3 patch it should be a great game, right now its trivial,
the game play is nice though, I refuse to buy the title untill after 1.3
