Cool Demo... but.... problems... (B.O.S)

Bet on Soldier just had a demo released today and it is fun to play... atleast for the time I get to play!

While originaly I was reluctunt to install the demo for fear of the STARFORCE eating a black hole into my system, the devs on the forum for the game on there webpage www.betonsoldier.com reassured us on the forum that STARFORCE while the previous version where absolute Shiate, that this version they were useing was stable..... HA HA and... HA!

There are 3 locations on the first training map where I get K O S... (pun intended)

Useing a ATI 9800 pro and the 5.8 cat set that is useing the CCC, I GET THE WONDERFULL GPU RESETS OF DEATH! After the 3rd attempt by the ATI CCC GPU Failer driver reset the system hardlocks into the most horrible gun repeating sound you have heard since CS had a sound loop error. lol

While I have Virtual Drives, non of them are enabled... this is a demo... so on and so forth. If it is star force causeing these problems.... then ... well.... ill let other people with more colorful language express my anger toward the bill gates of the anti-piracy world.

Evidently enough people have had problems with STARSHIZ that the devs are even telling people how to get rid of it... nice bonus for those trying to just play the demo, is that even if star force is removed, the demo will still run.

Turns out alot of the crash issues like the one I am getting (atleast till I uninstalled this) was caused by them useing OLD drivers. Thats right... like alot of devs that are behind on the times, the only drivers that seem to work from ATI with this release (demo) is the ATI 5.4. Alot of people useing anything NEWER than 5.4 is getting the GPU resets. MY guess is the game wasent programed with the new ram management in mind.

I got a thread going on the main driver fourm here and there. It seems that radeon 9800 pros are getting GPU resets like mad in that game.

Edit Insert:

For those having trouble, quite being like me and expecting that this game can run higher than default. I was trying to run the game at 1280x960 and 1280x1024... DONT.

This game just cant do it for some reason. The GPU resets are gone now that im down to 1024x768.
