Default Post IGI 2 Covert Strike

I thought Project IGI was a brilliant game let down by some very dodgy AI. The second game promises to be much improved in every way, they've even included a limited save option. Those of you that played the original will remember the frustration at being shot near the end of a level and having to start all over again although the feeling of achievement was huge on completion of a level. Have a look here http://www.codemasters.com/igi2/english/front.htm

I'm a bit more optimistic and hoping that the developers have taken the criticism to heart to improve the sequel.

I loved the first one. It took me awhile to beat, but it was worth it. Can't wait for the second one

I agree! The lack of a 'save' option made the game really difficult but some of the levels were awesome.

Just noticed thread.

I tried Project IGI a couple of years ago w/o having read anything about it. I loved it... It had rock solid sniperfeeling to it. Although, w/ some driverupdate from NVIDIA I lost the crosshair and that made me having to stop playing it.

Now a couple of weeks ago on my 9700 Pro I decided to see if I experienced the same issues w/ ATi drivers and I didn't.

Happily finished the game only a few days ago actually, so its fresh in memory. hehe

Only thing annoying I can think of must be the saving issue. Really annoying when close to finishing a level you get shot by some badly coded AI and have to start over from scratch. Otherwise a superb game, looking forward to sequel.
