Whats the best weapon for the first unlock in the game?

Depends a lot on what character you mostly play ...

I chose the Special-Op gun, G36c?

It's not a bad gun, but I miss the laser scope on the US side.

A lot of people seem to recomend the sniper upgrade.

But i like the medic upgrade best.

is that the scoped greenish one?? with the large black up and down crosshair wile scoped?? i picked that 1 up a few times in game and was sweet, i chose the assault upgrade, nice acurate gun, but only holds 20 bullets and gets tedious in close combat, dont know wat ill get next, dont even know when next is??

You get the first one when you pick up LCPL right?
Do they follow ranks or do they have different requirements?

You get to unlock 1 gun at 1000 points, the next is at 10,000. I think... By the way, I chose the Spec Ops gun, which is DEAD acurate in semi auto(BETTER than the sniper rifle... Really).

I prefer the engineer unlock. Its a shotgun that annaialites anything in 50 feet or less as it goes through a clip of shottie shells in a second. You cant 'swan dive' to avoid getting dead. I use the pistol for anything far away anyway.

The runner up for me is the medics gun. The scope kind of sucks, but the gun is a great spray and pray gun as it stays fairly accurate in full auto.

Its sad but the rest of the guns I prefer the regular ones. Especially the AK variants used by china.

I love the Anti-Tank class, and so I unlocked his 12 shot shotgun. I can empty it in about 2-3 seconds.

Yes, I agree! After playing hundreds (thousands?) of hours of BF2, I have come to the conclusion that the original ones are most efficient when you compare them all, and know how to handle each one.

The orignial China AK-47 medics gun has been my favourite for a while now. It's deadly in close/medium range combat, but it's surprisingly good at sniping as well! I know, I couldn't believe it myself at first!

But my new favourite is the original engineer shotgun!!! Yes, the slow, low accuracy, soggy, semi-automatic shotgun

. But MAN, it's A KILLER in close combat! I now won't wait if there is a bunch of enemies around a corner and try to throw a barrage of frags at them first, but now I charge in and take them out one at a time.

I'm not joking, my kill/death ratio har improved dramatically since I started using the old shotgun. Some things to keep in mind though - it doesn't hold many shells, and reloading both when mag is empty and actually also between shots takes a while - so some planning is needed before charging in.

If there is just one enemy, no problem - that gun gives me the confidence to engage him, and i KNOW I will emerge victorious from each and every one-on-one fight.

Wut they are saying is the L85A1 is the best gun in the game. Also the PKM is pretty nasty too.
