How in the hell do I get this game to run in XP sp2????

I did all the usual (compatability etc) then gave up and went and found a guide:

which I followed to the letter.
The game still crashes out 3 seconds in.

Help please. Anyone get it to run.


Oh yeah, I have the 1997 version btw.

nobody helping me

so what kind of problems will I run into if I partition the hdd and install Win 95 or 98 on the new partition???
It's a 160G and she hardly has anything on, so space isn't an issue.

thats probably best, and you shouldnt have any issues...but BE SURE you set the partitions using something like partition magic BEFORE isntalling windows 95, otherwise you'll end up losing XP

What, use a third party application rather than windows own drive managment feature??? Why not just do it through windows?

not beaten yet.

I still had to do all the crap on the links i posted earlier, but the key was............................................... .................................................. ................................firefox and yetisports!!!!!

so long as a firefox browser window, and yetisports (no really, yetisports! I don't know either) are open and running, the game works!

bizzare solution, but someone, somewhere will thank me sometime

What a great game I remember spending HOURS trying to figure out some of those puzzles, but man it was gorgeous and the storyline just amazing!

You are making me want to go dig out the disc's again!

i think any flash will work

I've not tried yet though, I just happened to have yetisports on the desktop so used that.

worked real well too
my gf played it all night, about 4 hours straight, and not one crash

I'm have the same problem getting it to work with XP. I don't want to run anything else on my computer except for xp so can I play the game with xp? Did you find a way?

it's all here in this thread for you dude

before you install click the link in the first post and follow the guy's instructions.

then every time you play the game, open a flash application (eg yetisports) and a mozilla firefox window before you start.

or at least that's how I got it to work
