Just saw an advert on TechTV for this movie - coming Oct 21st I think it said.

I didn't know anything about it, but I imagine it is old news.

. Dunno, I might see it. Doesn't look to great to me though, but many movies that look junky, in the end, turn out pretty good.

I'm pretty sceptical about it, but then I didn't think Resident Evil would be any good either. It turned out to be good fun (mind you, the second one was a dud!).

We can only hope.

You know how most the movie is right? Like the game. They did it in a FPS mode so its similiar to gameplay without actually playing. I understand hollywood copying games plots but the gameplay and camera work, some needs to nuke that freakin town before they make any more bad movies.

I liked it, just got back from the late show!!! Left the wife and kid at home for this one!!!
Doom movie =Doom 3, so if you liked the game you will like the movie.
Me as a movie critic 3.5/5, me as a gamer 5/5
I am not going to buy the DVD or anything but it was worth my 6 bucks.

really on 7-8 minutes where in fps style

Yeah, I say the movies last night like 6 hours ago cause its 4am now. One of the worst movies I have seen in a while.

Still wont beat when they cast Brad Pitt or Ben Afflec for the roll of Sam Fisher when Splinter Cell comes out. Will someone please nuke hollywood?

Nope. Genetic mutation, seems like they went with the Resident Evil theme because they saw it worked (though both of those movies were crappy also).

We live in the crappy hollywood movie era.

I saw the movie lastnight, was exactly what I expected (not a good thing). That said I wasn't disapointed because I knew it would just be another bomb for video game movies, it felt like you were playing a game but your friend wouldn't let you have the controller. Go see it if you must, but it'd be better to wait for the DVD and have some laughs with your friends.

Well the fact the ROCK is in the movie is a good enough reason to flee it like the plague..

And I found the resident evil movies still okay. Though the only good game movie ever was Mortal Kombat
