BF2 patch within hours!
I just lifted this from the EA forum. It's legit.

best news i've read all day. although its only 10:30am here.
 looking forward to not instantly dying when a jeep touches my big toe... blackhawks that don't operate like Super Star Destroyers... points for destroying command assets... not getting switched to the losing team in the last 30 seconds when I'm commander... Apparently the ranks are going to be reworked so that you don't need to dedicate your life to getting your second weapon unlock.
