BF2 crashing problem

well, when it happened the first time, i had the cat 5.8s installed. i had read something somewhere that BF2 crashes once in a while w/the 5.8s and the issue had been fixed in the 5.9s (i think, don't remember). So i installed the cat 5.9s and thought it would fix the problem. Alas it did not. About 20min. into gameplay, the game restarted.

However, the only thing that had changed other than the driver upgrade had been the BF2 patch from 1.02 to 1.03. I'm also thinking it could be an issue w/the new patch

Well you could try to reinstall 5.9 or try 5.6..... I don't think the patch would do it really.

try deleting the cache file, manually update punkbuster

remove those dumb movie files as well

maybe just maybe its one of those

i hope more and more people come out if this is a widespread issue w/the new patch. or if it's an issue w/the cat5.9s
