WoW Won't Install...
Every time I try to install WoW, I get this same error:
Patch data is bad. (source CRC mismatch: 1843987915/-1959647696) (BNUpdate::PTCApply) I've asked on their technical forums, and they told me to copy the installation files from all 5 discs onto my computer to see if it's just bad discs, the installation still failed. I ran memtest86 for about 8 hours, defragmented (0% fragmentation) my installation disk, and still no dice. I did a little research, and found this: http://icelava.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=964 However, does this make any sense to anybody else? Also, how do I reduce my bus speed, and is it safe? Does anybody have any other solutions? |

I like computers.

You can reduce the bus speed in the BIOS. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Yes, it should be safe.
