CS tearing and flickering

CS, has does something interesting since I upgraded to a radeon 9700 pro. Sometimes there are... breaks inbetween objects, and while this woudlent normally be so noticeable the r300 makes all the null space red.

Another fun thing it does is when I go to the menu and back the screen fkickers really fast. At first I thought it was a refresh rate problem but I locked all fo them at the same one...

Anyone else experienceing any of these two anamolies?

I don't play CS but it almost sounds like a Vsync problem to me. Make sure it's enabled in the control panel for your card and the game.
