Battlefield 2: Special Ops

Its like heroin!!! The only times I can pull my self away from this game now is when I get on a server with a bunch of retards that do not work as a squad or one where no one ever uses voice comm...

If any of you guys are playing I'd like to know -- Random server jumping is withering what little hope I have in humanity away...

Its as urban and military as it gets, had a good 3 man squad earlyer this morning and we rocked the server so hard (Assult/Anti tank, Spec Ops, Medic) combo are is amazing! Be ever better if we had 4man and had both assult and anti tank=)

I'm playing right now, switching back and forth between old bf 2 and SF. I like it, needs more maps.

I'm resistant to playing SF, if only because EA/DICE have been very slow reacting to problems with the initial BF2 release. There's still bugs in the ORIGINAL release that need work.

I also resent (heavily!) the introduction of SF items into BF2 vanilla. Free unlocks to SF players, flashbangs only to SF owners, additional weapons...polluting the balance in BF2.

OTOH, urban combat heavy vs jet raping is incentive to move AWAY from BF2 maps. Decisions decisions...

This is the best expansion i've played in a long time !
The zip lines and grappling hook give so many more options to capture the flags.
Have to agree that it needs more maps.I didn't realise that the weapon unlocks and flashbangs extened to BF2 vanilla. That is pretty unfair

It is great, but very little content, not worth 30 bucks. Probably worth like 10-20 in value.

I think its defintly worth the $30. The level design is amazing, there are lots of ways (if you take the time to find them) to get around the map using a grapling hook. I really feel like I am in a special forces squad, when I actully have a squad doing their job.

On the subject of flashbangs in normal BF2, what are you some kind of communist!?!? This is capitalism at its best! How do you sell expansions, force those who do not have them to be underpowerd!!! Jeez, all the game companys are doing it now...

Well good level design is supposed to be part of a game. Its just a lot like BF 2 with more gadgets and closer (less vehicle) combat. I do like the idea of unlocking SF weapons for the normal BF 2.

Get your zipline and grappling hook badges! Toss the hook 10 times and then switch to zip and shoot it 10 times (use G to pick them up) Walla 2 badges!

(silver and gold badges are 3000 and 10,000 shots respectivly)
