I need a new game to play

Any opinion on what game I should get next? I don't want another FPS. I'm thinkin' RTS or maybe a game that's not hardcore RPG. Don't get me wrong I love RPGs, but I just want something that I can just have fun with that's not goning to drive me crazy looking for the all the items and what not...I get too involved in RPGs...lol

SO what do you think?

calidan will become famous soon enough

Have you tried Fable? It's a pretty good RPG and you don't have to find all the items in the game to enjoy it.

Yeah I was thinking about that one. I heard the story is short though...I heard that about Civilization V too...

Yeah, if you want thoughtful involvement and some of the highest ratings for any game, ever, I was going to suggest Civ IV - I'm putting on the demo here and may get it by Christmas if I like the way the demo runs on this machine.

Really, it must be a pretty deep, involved game though? I remember playing Shingan the Ruler way back on Nintendo and that was awesome... Is it too involved though? do you know what I mean?

Everything is relative, as someone very close to me would say! I have never posted here, but I have been in touch sort of speak... I have a question for you swimtech: I have a computer at home that will do most anything you want it to. At what point will I know that my computer has reached its full capacity; for instance, if my dear partner installs Civ IV and I install Sims 2 and all that entails, possibly expansions by Christmas . He already has Serious Sam 2 and Far Cry...will my computer be able to handle it all?

Civ IV received a rating of 9.4. But, I'll stick to the Sims 2! 8.2 not bad.

Over the years, I've noticed that you need to leave about 10-20% of your hard drive as free space to take care of the 'swap' file or 'pagefile' that is used to act as memory for Windows, which games today take great advantage of. As long as you keep, say, 10-20Gigs of free space over and above installed software you should be ok...
