It appears that Judas is going to put a server up, so I'll be stepping down

But, you can still vote if you haven't already

Also, take a look at this great community pack he was working on. It's full of great maps and mutators. Hopefully he'll continue working on it

I'll try to play, and either get stuck downloading content, or have people yell at me for my lagging... then I'll quit and curse my dial-up connection again.

Single player i only play deathmatch. Multi-player i play mostly deathmatch and on occasion Last Man Standing.

CTF4 and TDM4 are also others i thoroughly enjoy..

along with VCTF and VDM/VTDM/Invasion/VI

My gaud... every combination of them all with various mutators..

I've been considering putting up my 24/7 UT2004 server (was waiting on this patch for ages)..

And i'm trying to get a FINALIZED version of my community compilation pack (btw.. anyone have the RC2-16 patch? )

ATM the last build i have is version Pre RC3-19 Hopefully final will be straight out Final-20

i have one called ut2k4ccp1pf15rc2patchArchive. i d/led that directly from one of the servers you told me to d/l the file from once, but i don't know if that's the same one you're looking for

Hey i play most ctf , i`ll be in your server whenever i get the time, btw , try to make this server anti tcc secured and utcomp available, make sure you enable the netcode son it will be better for higher ping players!

Like i said in the first post this is going to be run from my only rig, which i use for school work, and playing other games, so it won't be up 24-7, and I won't be able to play everyday. It would be better if someone can run a dedicated server though

Plus, the point of this thread was to see if enough people were interested in playing.

Haven't thought up a name for it as yet.

What is anti tcc? I do have utcomp though

Well it would be best if everyone can get the maps from Judas' community pack, the Official Community Bonus Packs 1 & 2 (vol. 1 & 2) and the ECE Bonus Pack (if you don't have the Editor's Edition

). That way, it'll be quicker to join a game instead of having to dl the individual map everytime the game switches.

I also played around with UTComp. It does seem nice, but I don't like the fact you only have red and blue skins, even if you're playing regular DeathMatch

Is there a way to use the default skin?

The most uptodate anti tcc is 1.18j ,this is a secure check that scan your client for hack or for knowns codecs, hope this help/1

Well, I spent a couple hours with the game last night...I'd say the skills are present, but much practice is still needed

And I'm yet to dl that community pack...I look forward to a game with you guys soon

the only differences between any of the packs that i've created.. is a few changes to the incorporated files... (which you may or may not have to download from server).... mostly removed some maps from the pack that are known to have issues.... and added some that litterly kick ass.

Anyways.... Today i'll probably have the server up and running with just the ECE bonus pack and ping compensator for now. This will allow people to play without having to download all that much.. AND it'll be fully patched.

BTW.... you'll know you can join soon as you type in 70.64.5.26:7777 for the address.. if it connects your possibly in business... the first few times it's online.. it may be restarted several times.... be patient...

OK.. server is up... i've tested a few maps out.. but i must warn you guys..

ATM, only UT2004/ECE/ CBP1 / CBP2v1 and CBP2v2 are loaded... no excessive/no VCTF. Although the vote maplist and gametype lists say Excessive or Pureoverkill or maps.. there are NONE ATM. Do no select those enless you want the server to go down possibly (it should just restart due to finding anything)

PINGCOMPENSATION is loaded, along with my custom bots...

Let me know how smooth it runs, the patch has a few extra tweaks i'm willing to fiddle with....

Ok Judas i just went to try your server, but came up with a connection Failed:
Downloading package `BR-CBP2-AQUIARIUS` failed error.
So i don`t know if it is up or not, i gess it is but don`t know if has to be someting with the new patch 3366, so check that out please, i`ll be specting some news on your ut2004 server ok

btw, i got the community pack volume 1, volume 2 (parts 1 and 2), they were all necessary right?
