DH Review: Need For Speed: Most Wanted (PC)

Yes, the cop chases are the most exciting part of the game. Plus, your car isn't exactly indestructable, if you hit a spike strip then you're pretty much screwed. I've only gotten away twice after hitting a spike strip. Once I coasted to a stop just around the corner and for some reason they didn't come looking for me (you're actually relatively safe near roadblocks) and the second time I only hit it with one tire, it was also the last chase of the game.

Great review and I totally agree with the score received. Cops and some sunlight belong in the NFS series and I had missed them both very much

This is the only game that has been able to pull me from WoW which is always welcomed lol

O/T. the game runs a little rough on ATi hardware. My now sold GTX(256) ran the game better and it even looked better

Well I did find it a bit of a system hog at times but to be honest, on my X850XT PE, it ran fluidly and very well. But don't forget dip, your card doesn't have great drivers yet

Yea, ATi hasn't let me down yet when it comes to drivers

But it’s not really a low fps problem but more of a weird stuttering issue. I'm almost sure it has something to do with the shadows as they are much blockier looking and feel totally un-optimized for this card. I'm sure its being looked at

its the graphics.. turn all shadows down etc or off it stuttes so quick and so rarley u hardly notice. turn shadow up.. problem. turn reflections up problem.

I dont know how the game would play on an nvidia card but i am considering one for my new pc in summer

thanks, that definitely helps a lot but I didnt pay half a months rent to play at those settings

nVidia hardware(the 256mb GTX especially) handles this game much better. Still, I think we are forgetting this is an EA game afterall lol

Shadows really pushes my computer to the very edge. When shadows turned off, it works quite fine.
Full AA and AF (ingame settings) and 1600x1200 + full detail, and it runs quite nice.

Sometimes there are FPS dips, which I can't get rid off. Not even @ 800x600

k is there a trick or secret to the last chase i cant friggin do it am i supposed to hit 35 cars or just wait till mia calls?
