Old Video Gaming Thread, Including Video clips!

Got an old game you'd have liked to play on your newer much more powerful rig.. say a game from way back when you didn't have the power to run it at top quality or speed... or perhaps more about the gameplay?

Recently seeing alot of new games that although "show" improved graphics, but finding majority having nearly 0 to absalutely NO gameplay value.

Initially i'd have thought this thread would be best kept to a knit tight pc range.. but whatever, let the old community VGA award begin...

I'd like to start off with although not the greatest.. but a good EA title (reguardless of there crap) that can continuesly wreck havoc on our own well wasted hours....

NFS4HS on the PC.... ultimate in the form of modified maps and make it yourself cars you can litterly easily code for the game...

Volla.... my own creation (body mind you is semi modified and built apon by me, and majority on the body by another good fellow, all physics/powertrain stuff completely myself)

Anyone ever see Need For Speed 2 SE (3dfx mode)...

Suckers still a riot to play!

Fraps doesn't work to great with it though so it kinda drops 3dfx visual effects and messes up the audio... but with dgvoodoo emulator... runs like a dream!

Hot pursuit 2 is awsome. SOF 2. Return to Castle Wolfenstien. Halo 1 (Halo 2 sucks). Little old doom here and there. Some Chrono Trigger. Some FF tactics. FF7 here and there. Devil May Cry. Max Payne. Perfect dark on N64 VS peace bot army.

let me work on getting a few divx videos of some of those games you mentioned.... see what it takes to get them running again as most old games won't work at all under xp pro let alone with the current crop of hardware parts....

Quake 1 is coming up (prepack 7.15)

old specs-AMD k6,ATI rage 128,64mb dram

then last christmas i got my compaq presario

in a manner of 16x AF.... 6x AA and every setting found anywhere maxed out?

not to mention 2048x1536... or 4096x1536?

I did that with UT.... ran dual monitor mode.. set one for front and one for rear view.. if i had three.... it would kicked ass.... 90fov center.... 135 right rear.... 135 left rear....

With those settings, i'd be unstopable seeing 360 degrees around myself...

You would be kicked for hacking because you could see all around yourself. Need a pretty good swivel chair or some glasses.

Ha !me too I just reinstalled Spearhead and am playing it thru.My missus still plays Ghost Recon and it can look pretty nice Maxed out as well.

i don't have MOHAA... you guys should get Fraps and take a few vids and divx them up...then use filefront to freely upload and link to... (FREE!)... limit is 1gb atm...

A small UT Classic Video.... instagib... 16 bots.... a few mutators.... and High Res Textures package

(not to mention other cool things that are generally never seen in the UT Classic on a typical players machine)

heh..... so bascially all pre windows 95 stuff... with zero 3D graphics support.. (although nfs2se is probably the oldest game i posted along side Quake 1)
