Game saturation

As for me, the color saturation in a flight simulation called IL2 is too high, even after I turn off Digital Vibrance. Is there a method to set the DV lower than off? Or would sb please make such a tool for me? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, jermin,

Welcome to DH!

Which video card and drivers are you using?

Can you adjust this with the GAMMA setting for 3D apps?

I'm using nVIDIA 6600 with driver 71.89.

And yes, I can use the driver cp to adjust the game with GAMMA, BRIGHTNESS and Digital Vibrance ect.. But I'm not able to reduce the color saturation to lower than off.

I made a mistake. I'm not able to adjust GAMMA either in the game or in the driver cp.

I've downloaded a tool called Gamma Panal to adust Gamma. But that didn't do a job. I think only saturation ajustment would be OK.

Are you using OpenGL or DirectX driver? If OpenGL, try reducing the color depth to 16.

I'm using OGL, but reducing the color depth to 16 bit will get rid of some eye candies of the game.

Unless OpenGL has done something new in the past couple of years, the last I used it much it was restricted to 16 bit color anyway.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but, I've always been instructed to reduce OpenGL to 16 bit color.

Cuz this sim has a mode called perfect mode. To open this mode you have to set color depth to 32 bit.
