Another Nuisance Being Deaf.....
I've mentioned this before. I'm nearly deaf and have to have Sub-titles in games in order to know what's going on.
That said, I have a system that can play games at fairly decent settings all the way up to 1600x1200. BUT, it doesn't do me much good to play at that resolution for one reason:
Sub-titles get reduced to about a 2-point size. So, I have to accept that 1280x1024 is just about the maximum I can use and still read the text fairly easily.
I just got F.E.A.R. and this one is really noticeable. I might even have to go lower on the resolution than 1280x1024.
