Packet Collisions in gaming.
Hi there,
I own a Wireless G Router w/ Speedbooster model no WRT54GS When two+ workstations try to connect to play at the same game, i get lag. Which I strongly believe it is the packet collision that is causing the lag. Does anyone here good at networking or has an idea how to set up your router to avoid packet collision. Thanks a bunch.

Well I have the same router you have, linksys right?. Try to Hardline it to your main cojmputer and use the wireless for the others, see if that helps. Thats what I do but I don't use my secondary for gaming. Also try the high gain antennas and placing it higher than your primary computer. Thats if you got money to spend.

Well is there any other way??? I have seen Wireless Networks in schools and sometimes small LAN centers.. and it works fine. the sad thing is the router isnt even as close up to par as mine.

Dunno man, Mine has some serious slow downs too sometimes. Those were the only things I could think of at the moment. I'll ask a buddy of mine that knows more about it and get back to ya.
