LCD Hz in games?

I'm running a Viewsonic VX922 19" 2ms LCD monitor and i have my display settings set to run it at native res @ 75hz... yet when i play games and hit the info button on my monitor it shows the hz changed to 60... how do i keep the hz from dropping to 60 when i run games? TIA

edit: nevermind.. the Multires app has solved my problem
