Still things I've seen before in other games. Good to see they all go to one place but I can't say I'm overwhelmingly impressed just impatient for a game that has all this cool stuff in it.

It will be a really nice game. The Cry Engine looks freakin amazing!

Cant wait to try, but I will need a GeForce because my Radeon only support SM 2.0...lame

Remember farcry? Remember how it used SM 3.0 for the best experience blablabla, when most of its most noticible eyecandy was SM1.4?

Same sort of thing. Yes the guys are good engine programmers, but I think they get a little excited when naming things.

In actualty the new farcry engine is a sm3.0 engine game. DX10's requirement is something that has been out for the past 3 years for nivida folks. They just want to say it does the next big thing. Thats about it. I'm sure your videocard will do fine if its sm3.0 pr0digal jenius.

The Crytec Engine in Far Cry was pretty adaptable, even for my original machine. I would expect no less from these guys graphics wise. It will look awsome but I don't think I'm goin to miss much if I don't buy another 7800GTX.

The shadows and diffused lighting will be very graphically demanding. I have a feeling this will be one of the first major players for the Ageia physics cards when it comes out. The folliage and volumetric clouds will be a neat effect, and if everything is destrucible, that would rock as well.
But really, other than the clouds and lighting effects, everything has been done before (SCCT, HL2, etc.)

I have to admit, the naming convention these guys have is laughable. Come one, its just down-right cheezy naming everything with a "cry" in it (right down to the freakin studio) someone else has to be with me on this. At least they back it up with great tech and games.

PS....my call is that the next game will, sticking with the cry nomenclature, be called "Cryation"
