CoD2 dx9 performance

i know that there are some optimzations available for running DX9 on cod2, but holy no dx9 game drops my fps like cod2 does. on my 9700 pro it would crawl at 1-2fps this card runs at 20fps. is there some type of work around or is the game meant to be this way? its way too slow at all resolutions when running dx9. and both my odl 9700 pro and this x850 pro are dx9 cards clearly.

i searched for tweaks to run this game in dx9 for weeks with no success.dx7 is the only way i can play with tolerable fps and it is crap that we have to do this.now they are dragging there feet on the patch that is supposed to fix this along with other issues like get rid of the freaking cheaters app.it reminds me of bf1942 and the 200mb patches and now bf2 with the same thing.

I have same probleme. Its not my Videocard the problem, its my freaking A64 3000+. Its suck a bottleneck. My friend has the same setup has mine but he got a A64 3700+, which is like 400Mhz more and 1Mb of cache. In CoD2 with DX9 + Extra Setting, I do 20-40 fps, which is not really good for me. On his setup, he does 60-70 FPS, this is wut I want. More then 60FPS. So, the final decision I took, is to play with DX7 so I can play with 100+fps.
