A Movie that has "Video Game" Written All Over It

In yesterday's Marietta Daily Journal, there was an article about a couple of men who graduated from high school locally. They've gone onto the film industry and, this year, one of their projects is premiering at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. (This week.)

A synopsis of the article about the movie says:

"Imagine being banished into the fiery pits of hell, surrounded only by those who lived earthly lives evil enough to earn inclusion in the most devilish sinners' club.

Now imagine escaping from Satan's lair to find the perpetrator who killed you and possibly kidnapped your one true love. This is, of course, all while running from the reapers who have come to take you back to hell."

As I was reading this article, I could see 'video game' written all over it.

LOL...there's an issue with many movies, books and video games these days-everything's been done. The writers/directors/designers of said categories base their idea from a previously founded good idea, further diluting the original formulas that made these ideas great in the first place.

I would not dare say everythign has been done. The main issue is that media has a narrow focus and has been beating the 'tried and true' ideas like a dead horse. Its time to stop when there's nothing left but goo. IE it no longer becomes profitable.

I agree, no one likes to take a chance on a new and original idea.
