CS Source Driver Update help

I recently installed counter strike source on my laptop and everytime i am about 20 minutes into the game the following either happens:
1) the game freezes and brings me back to xp
or
2) the game freezes, gives me a blue screen, and reboots
everytime i am about to start up the game, i get this message from steam:

Video Driver Outdated
Your video drivers appear to be out of date and could cause problems if you choose to continue and run the game. We strongly recomment that you follow the link below and update your video drivers to the latest version available from your vendor.
Your driver details
Windows version: Windows XP
Description: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700
Version: 6.14.10.6490

I went to ATI's website and i get the complete run around as to what to download. I have a microtel 3.0 ghz p4 laptop. any help would be appreciated. thanks
