here something that I have found on the net
ISSUE: When attempting to run the Meeting Maker application, a Runtime Error
from the "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library," R6025 - pure virtual function call is received. CAUSE: Meeting Maker client driver conflicts with some Windows98 resources. SOLUTION: In the installed Meeting Maker client folder (C:\Program Files\Meeting Maker), there are a series of *.drv files, all pertaining to specific Meeting Maker driver files. The program crashes when all or most of these drivers are loaded into memory when Meeting Maker starts. In order to prevent Meeting Maker from loading unnecessary driver files when starting the application, please re-name the unused driver files to *.drx. Here is a list of driver files that are installed with Meeting Maker client software. Please note what "protocol" you are using to connect to your Meeting Maker server since you do NOT want to rename the driver file pertaining to that protocol. DDP32.DRV -- Windows-compatible Meeting Maker Client Appletalk Driver IPWS32.DRV -- UDP/IP Winsock Driver (the "IP" driver) IPX32NT.DRV -- WindowsNT IPX Driver IPXw95.DRV -- Windows95/98 IPX Driver IPXNWL.DRV -- Netware NW-Link IPX Driver TCPOS32.DRV -- TCP/IP Winsock Driver ("TCP" driver, version 5.5x only) As you can see, there are many driver files that can load, possibly causing a conflict with other programs/drivers loading with windows. Please rename ALL driver files to <driver file name>.DRX, since the "drx" extension will make the driver "invalid" and will not load the driver when the Meeting Maker client starts. Obviously, you should have at least ONE .drv file remaining since you need at least one driver to load so you can connect to your Meeting Maker server. If you are unsure of what driver to "keep" inquire about what protocol you are using to connect by asking your IS or help desk department. Of course, you cannot be actively logged into Meeting Maker when you are renaming the files, and you should reboot your windows machine after renaming the files. If you still have problems seeing you should Meeting Maker web site, you should contact your web server administrator. |

I read this somewhere
Hi everyone! I hope a lot of you read my message as It can help many people. Getting this error message is a programming error in Windows and cannot be repaired really but there is a way of arranging it so it doesn't cause problems anymore.
Go to Control Panel then System, in the system properties, click on the performance tab, click on Virtual Memory, click on : let me specify my own virtual memory settings, then click the " disable virtual memory (not recommanded). It is not recommanded but that's what you must do. You must restart your computer and do the same process but this time re-activate the virtual memory settings to its original position and re-boot once again! This should solve most problems, but don't forget to re-activate your virtual memory otherwise your computer will be extremly slow... Good luck to all! I hope this helps!... Caro later pete |

420, please start new threads in the relevant forum. I'm getting tired of moving your topics out of the OT section

I don't get this error anymore but my computer still freezes in Half-Life and other games. I just got the newest drivers (42.70) and it still happens.

It might just be the processor getting too hot.

My Hercules 9700 pro just had a "pink screen" type effect which is an indicator of bad ram - but a cold boot after 5 mins and everything hunky dory. I'm gonna heck the HS mountings tomorrow when I'm sober - and maybe apply a touch of Arctic Silver III

This error only happens on Counter-Strike.

I get errors like that in SOF2 when I overclock a little too far- Usually backing down on the FSB does the trick for me. The other time I had that happen is when I was experimenting w/ the memory timing settings. Went from 2:2:2:7 @280mhz to 2:2:2:5 @280Mhz w/ pc2100 ram and after a while I started getting errors like that till I backed it back down.

Well, I don't have anything overclocked. I used to so my processor might have gotten messed up. I've been reading about these errors and crashes on the web and it seems like it's been happening to a lot of people.

Hmm, I dunno much about counter strike then, I have never played it if you can believe that. I am still kinda hooked on SOF2 if I play anything. Good luck tho. Maybe uninstal / reinstall game and drivers. I am sure you know about uninstalling drivers from add/remove programs before you reinstall them. Then cleaning out registry. If not, do that.
PS** Maybe your just too stoned, and you are hallucinating, LOL------- J/K---
