Warning: Silent hill 2

Yes I paid 60 bucks gfor this game (cdn)... And I know it was going to be a crappy port... but not really. It was done rather well, cept for the fact that they obviously didint test it on a wide variety of hardware.

I was a big fan so I kind of ignored the things coming up on the konami forums (BTW omegadrive somebody pimped your drivers there) Most people have been having sound looping bugs and crashes... Well, the ones that post on the forums. Konami has not made an official statement.

I'm pretty sure there is a memory leak in the game... which is unfortunate. If I play for more than 20 minutes the game bcomes impossibly slow... only when its accessing the disk (ie loading stuff/saving) I'm not really sure what it is... the rest of the time fast and smooth... it's just annoying... I was expecting terrible graphics and bugs like puzzles not working correctly... what I got was an annoyance I'm not sure I'm willing to overlook... when I have to wait 10 minutes for a room to load and I have to go back into it 2 seconds later its not worth it.

Look in my sig for my specs... I mean my HD doesent even light up in the game so its not loading anything... its simply being slow. So thusly I think its a memory leak.

So I'm just giving a little warning... wait till its 10 bucks on the discount rack... Hopefully then they fix it... unlike global ops... which I did find on the discount rack.

Is this out on PC? Or you do you mean for XBox?

It was first on PS2, then to Xbox, then on PC. He's probably talk about the PC port.

Heh, yeah the PC game... I got it to run a ltitle faster but at serious cost to IQ... ah well... Least its faster.
