ok, so is it 81Mb or is it 357Mb???

i'm d/ling the 357Mb one directly from EA @ 17Kb/sec., but from fileshack i'm about to start the 81Mb one. i'm confused as to which one is the actual patch....or is it both?

i think there is the 1.2 patch which is 375mb, and the 1.12 -> 1.2 incremental which would explain 87.5 mb patch

so basically, if i already have the 1.12 patch installed, i only need the incremental patch right? whereas if i were to do a clean install of the game, then update to the latest patch, then i would need to have the full 357Mb 1.2 patch. is that right???

only played a little bit but why leave choppers in at all??

I played with the chopper and i never once made it back to base to repair.. I tried everything to dogue the AA but it almost always hits.. Jets take the heli out less then 5secs now..

I mean whats the point of having them in still? From the little time i played most people just bail out of them and dont even try going after anyone or using them.. Most of the time if i spawn at base one is always there

Edit: dont tell me you need to hide etc.. beacuse I tried everything and still got hit

Also the no jump and shot I really dont care but the way they did it looks werid and doesnt work right.. Same with prone..

I go prone then get up then it looks like lag.. Also you reload and prone or jump then the gun reloads itself again.. Looks more like lag then a tweak.. Why when you jump he moves the gun around??? looks off

anyone agree?

I found bugs and i wasnt even trying.. they need to re test this patch.. send it back

Bugs i found

1) when you shoot the water nothing happens (they still didnt fix this)

2) Fire the anti tank gun sometimes it goes threw and then shows you never fired..

3) get fired at but no sound from the enemy guns

4) If you jump or prone and reload .. it shows you as reloading but then once its done it does it over again.. So you reload twice

5) red/blue bug still there

6) servers seem lagger

7) sometimes the defilibrator gets stuck or something.. You have it out but cannot use it.. guess has something to do with how you can recharge it when not using it

Lol and i only played for like 30 minutes. They need to send it back

Good catches Timsh I noticed lag too and saw a few of those bugs (and worse) testing out the changes on single player.

One time AA was shot at me and it zig zagged across the screen creating contrails all over the place then shot right into me...it was friendly fire too. You mentioned the antitank glitch I stood right behind an APC and fired 2 rockets into it and both went through it. Hopefully that doesn't happen in multiplayer.

I told u guys, They completly destroyed the game with this patch. In the other patch (1.12) i was able to stand the red/blue bug, but now that we have another patch with this bub... gimme a break there... They patch to fix the bugs and its still there, ROFLMAO!!! GJ EA for ruining a great game. It was suppose to be a "Realistic Game"... Now its more like noobs saying to EA to patch the game so they wont be pwned by my C4!! Damn crybabies, dont tell me in real life u CANT shoot while jumping?? Its so ridiculous. rofl ill have to stfu or ill bash them even more lollll.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. BF2 no mather how they try to screw it up, it's still the best online shooter imo. Personally, I couldn't care less about the strong AA. It's about time ground troops finally are able to stand up against those planes. The only whores around now are tank whores which is good cause they are easy to take out.
I read posts about the sniper rifle being overpowerd. it's a sniperrifle. if you stand still, you will get shot and you die, plain simple.
They put in the P90, not as accurate and powerfull as it is supposed to be but still good fun and now the AT class has something to shoot with.
I'm still liking it, you just need to adapt.

I feel the same way. I jumped from CSS to BF2 for a bout 2months now and, with this patch, im returning back. Now i got DOD:S too, so this game is dead for me. Ill play it, if the next patch is like the old days, if not, f*** it loll!

While wut u say makes a point I don't believe it is the best game. I'm not all complaining for Patch support when they break stuff. It could be a great game if EA didn't get their dirty little paws in it, like if it was rated M and produced by Ubisoft : ). I believe the sniper rifle (mainly the M95) is too crappy, if your plannin to just shoot people then the normal ones are a lot better. Pretty much M95 is just for Anti-heli which is pretty hard to do. I tihnk they should give like 10 points for snipers who shoot pilots in moving heli's. P90 is a pretty nice gun, I didn't know they added any weapons. My fav gun + Class right now is Assault with the G3 because its pretty much an automatic sniper rifle and you get a grappling hook.

BF 2 could be better imo.
